A relatively newcomer in the vaulted community of luxury timepiece, Bell & Ross set forth a focus on how watches function rather than its aesthetics. Hence, like the aeronautical gauges they’re fashioned after, Bell & Ross considers its timepieces as “instruments” rather than watches.

Released early this year and recently updated, the Bell & Ross App for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch gives the end users, possibly, future Bell & Ross customers, a trial run on some their signature time instruments. The application not only accurately tells time, but include interesting functions. For the BR 01-97 Model template, users could shake their iPhone or iPod Touch as to “re-charge” the automatic winding. A Power Reserve dial on the watch will correlate to the “re-charge”. On the BR 03 Type Aviation Chronograph, user could tap the crown to access Stop Watch, Alarm, and Timer functions. Hold down the crown on each function allows the user to reset the stop watch or adjust alarm or timer. Bell & Ross BR 01 Carbon Fiber Watch-BR 01-92 / BR 01-94

Bell & Ross has a big surprise for all fans of the brand and all watch lovers – they have created a watch sculptured entirely from carbon fibre, including the case, dial and strap.

The Instrument BR 01 Carbon Fiber watch, inspired by aeronautical construction techniques, boasts the case fashioned in one block made of carbon fibre layers that are superimposed over each other. The Bell & Ross watchmakers have opted for carbon fibre as this is an ultra-light and remarkably strong material that provides supreme comfort of wearing and improves the case solidity.

The solidity of the high-tech-architecture case is further strengthened by the bezel and upper plate with angle ribs.

The case construction, measuring 46 mm diameter, incorporates a screw-in crown and is 100-meter water-resistant.

The new Bell & Ross watch is available in two variations - one equipped with an automatic chronograph movement with the date function and the other fitted with an automatic movement. Every version is limited to 500 pieces.

The carbon fiber dial offers perfect legibility under any light conditions – its indexes, numerals and hands are provided with photo-luminescent coating. The dial of the chronograph version is completed with three counters for 12 hours, 30 minutes and 60 seconds. The dial is shielded by anti-reflection sapphire crystal.

A contemporary rendition of its classic BR 01 Instrument timepiece series, the BR-S Collection from Bell & Ross is smaller and thinner, yet retained all the functions of its larger cousin. Fused it with a ceramic casing along with Bell & Ross Phantom dial face and you have the latest collection - the BR-S Ceramic Phantom.

BR 02 Pink Gold

The BR 02 style goes away from the square faces we’ve seen above. This watch offers a decompression valve for deep sea diving, with a 300m water resistance. The watch can be had for about $20,000.

BR 03-51 GMT

Here’s another square face offering, this one has the date on it with big numbers for readability. This is also one of the cheaper carbon fiber watches they offer at about $5,000.
